Our Classes
There are three classes at MCP that accommodate children from 2 years until they move on to Kindergarten or 1st grade. The Toddler class is for children between 2 years and 3 years of age. The Preschool classes are for children ages 3 to 5 years. Below you will find detailed information about each class.

* Tuition rates are subject to change. Tuition is a total amount for the school year divided into 9 monthly installments due by the 1st of each month from September through May.
In addition to tuition, parents participate in fundraiser activities. Curriculum and activities are planned according to the age and abilities of each class. There may be some exceptions allowed with regard to the enrollment age requirements. See the Registration page for details. |
2's Class
The 2's class meets on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 – 11:30 am. Children must be at least 2 years old by August 31st of that year. The class is limited to a maximum of 16 students and requires a minimum of 10 parents at full capacity. Adult to student ratio is maintained at 1 adult for every 3 children. A parent or guardian will have one work day per week. Snack is typically provided by a different parent each week on a rotating basis.
Program and Routine:
The Teacher greets the children individually as each arrives at class. The 2-hour class day is divided into 45 minutes of indoor play where children may choose any of the various learning centers available to them including art, sensory, library, dramatic play, blocks and large motor activities. Indoor playtime is followed by opening circle and then snack. Forty-five minutes of outdoor playtime is after snack. This is when children can choose to play on the play/climbing structure, balls, bikes, bubbles or sidewalk chalk - or any other activities the teacher has set up for the day. The last 15 minutes is spent in closing circle time where the Teacher leads the children and parents in favorite songs.

Preschool Classes
The Morning Preschool Class is generally geared toward preschoolers who are 3 years old and meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:30am – 11:30am. Children must be 3 years old by August 31 prior to beginning class.
The Afternoon Preschool Class is geared toward preschoolers who are 4 years old and meets Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:30 to 3:00pm. Children must be 4 years old by August 31 prior to beginning class. The preschool classes is limited to a maximum of 18 students which accounts for 6 working adults (usually parents) per day. Adult to student ratio is maintained at no more than 5 children per 1 adult. A parent or guardian attends class on their scheduled work day each week. Snack is typically provided by a different parent each day on a rotating basis.
Program and Routine:
The Teacher greets the children individually as each arrives at class. The Teacher has the classroom set up with enriching materials which provide opportunities for children to explore, create, problem-solve and have fun. They are free to choose from various learning centers which include: art, manipulatives/math, science/sensory, literacy/library, dramatic play, blocks, cooking/snack and large motor activities.
The parents work with the Teacher to support the children's play. They focus on helping children to interact cooperatively with their peers as well as adults. They emphasize problem solving, delayed gratification, emotion coaching and self help skills. The Teacher supports and enhances the parents' ability to help resolve conflicts and encourage cooperation and social interaction.
Each class is ended with circle time that includes songs, stories, plays, movement and sharing of ideas.

Tuition for PM class is $155/month, payable on the first of the month.
